Bucerías, Mexico is a small community about 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta. While it’s somewhat of a bedroom community for locals who work in the big city, it still holds that authentic Mexican charm.

The cobblestone streets and vibrant store facades make for a travel photographer’s dream. But you don’t have to be a professional picture taker to appreciate the beauty of this place.

Wandering through the quaint streets of Bucerías, I was surprised to find so many murals and eye-catching pieces of street art. As I roamed the charmingly uneven streets, I was captivated by the aesthetic beauty of this community.

Everything is within 30 minutes walking distance, so make a fun afternoon out of it! Even better, walk around at golden hour for the best lighting.

Instagram tip: What’s nice about Bucerías is that it’s much quieter than other spots like Puerto Vallarta or Sayulita. This means you won’t have to fight the crowds to get that perfect shot or pose. Makes life a lot easier!
