RIU Palace PacificoA perfectly balanced, newly renovated adults-only all-inclusive with a gorgeous beachfront, great pools and delicious food.

Best for Relaxation: Luna Liquida Hotel Boutique

Tucked away in Centro, just beyond the Zona Romántica, Luna Liquida offers a peaceful, home-like retreat with stunning rooftop views.

This former private estate turned boutique hotel is filled with unique rooms and inviting communal spaces.

A light breakfast is included, and guests can use two communal kitchens—a rare perk.

But the real star? The rooftop pool. Mornings start with coffee and cruise ship views; evenings end with epic sunsets.

Know before you book: It’s up a steep hill and has a lot of stairs.

Prices range from $100 to $230 per night (check here)

Best Rooftop Pool: Rivera del Rio Boutique Hotel

This hotel is a fever dream of vintage elegance, Barbie-core colors, and dramatic decor.

Think spiral staircases, Juliet balconies, and Old Hollywood vibes.

Choose from classic vintage rooms or newly added modern ones, all with king beds and air conditioning.

The heated rooftop infinity pool offers panoramic views, while a second pool and rooftop hot tub provide more ways to relax.

Located an 8-minute walk from the beach, it’s quiet yet close to the action.

Prices range from $70 to $129+ per night (check here)

Best Location: Pinnacle 179

If you love all-inclusive perks but want the flexibility of an apartment-style stay, Pinnacle 179 is for you.

Each fully equipped suite includes a kitchen, a spacious living area, and a balcony with ocean views.

But the main event? The rooftop pool—heated, with stunning views, a poolside bar, and daily happy hour from 4-8 PM.

It’s also perfectly located—just two blocks from the beach, in the heart of the Romantic Zone, yet quiet at night.

A free funicular makes getting up the hill effortless.

Prices start around $200 per night (check here)

Best Budget: Hotel Posada de Roger

For budget travelers who still want charm and an unbeatable location, Posada de Roger is a top pick.

It’s affordable, cozy, and full of character, with a Spanish colonial courtyard and a small terrace pool.

Situated on Basilio Badillo, it’s three blocks from the beach and attached to Fredy’s Tucán, one of Puerto Vallarta’s most famous breakfast spots.

Rooms are basic but clean, with air conditioning.

Prices start at $75 per night in high season (check prices here)

Best Mid-range: Casa Maria Hotel Boutique

This small but stylish adults-only boutique hotel is bright, vibrant, and photogenic—think hot pink walls, turquoise accents, and modern Mexican decor.

The pool area is quiet and relaxing, with a self-serve coffee and cookie station in the morning and a bar in the afternoon.

The location is fantastic—on a quiet street but just a 2-minute walk to the beach and near Olas Altas, one of the best dining and nightlife areas.

Rooms are spacious, well-cooled, and include a fridge and microwave.

Prices hover around $200 per night (check prices here).

Best All-Inclusive: RIU Palace Pacifico

If you prefer a resort experience, this is the perfect Goldilocks of adults-only all-inclusives—not too quiet, not too wild, just right.

Located 40 minutes from downtown, it offers a prime beachfront location with soft white sand and no shortage of loungers.

With three pools (quiet, party, and activities), there’s an option for every mood.

The food is excellent, and no dinner reservations are required—just check in, grab a buzzer, and relax until your table is ready.

How to Book These Hotels

I booked most of these hotels through Booking, Plannin, and Expedia, depending on the best price and availability.

Prices vary dramatically based on demand, and with Skyscanner reporting a 30% month-over-month increase in flights from Canada to Puerto Vallarta, booking early is key.

So if one of these hotels caught your eye, check prices and lock it in before rates climb.
