Top-rated Aldeburgh Dog Friendly Cottages Along the Suffolk Coast

Top-rated Aldeburgh Dog Friendly Cottages Along the Suffolk Coast

Share with your friends!

What’s better than a cozy cottage getaway in the coastal town of Aldeburgh with your favorite furry friend? The good news is that Aldeburgh has many choices for dog friendly cottages available so you can enjoy all the hiking, biking and sightseeing in the countryside together.

Keep in mind when visiting Aldeburgh, from the 1st October to 30th April dogs are not allowed on the main beach. This is okay though, because cottage rentals are cheaper during this time!

But don’t worry, many of the shops that line the High Street are dog-friendly or at least have a water dish available outside.

If you are visiting Aldeburgh in the summer with your dog, there are sections of the beach that are dog-friendly.

Just north of the Wentworth Hotel to Thorpeness, dogs are allowed as long as they’re on a lead and they stay on the designated path.

Additionally, only a few more minutes north, Sizewell Beach allows dogs year-round.

And if you’re up by Sizewell, don’t miss taking a trip to East Bridge for the dog friendly pub walk.

You can start at the pub at the Eels Foot Inn for a beverage in the sunny beer garden and then take the footpath to the Dunwich Heath and Beach where the cafe is also dog friendly.

Another great spot is the Southwold Pier only 30 minutes north of Aldeburgh, which allows dogs as long as they’re on a lead.

There are also many great dog-friendly pubs in this vicinity as well. It would make for a great day trip strolling around the coast and admiring the architecture and fascinating buildings.

Here are the top-rated and highly recommended pet-friendly cottages in Aldeburgh and along the Suffolk coast (some even have hot tubs).
